Radiation Oncology and
The Departments of Surgical Oncology, Radiation Oncology & Chemotherapy are working under the supervision of experienced competent Oncologists. The Nursing and supporting medical staff are qualified and well trained with leadership skills along with special nursing care.
Lions Cancer Hospital is providing cancer specialty services in its owned six floor building which has the entire infrastructure facilities like lift, back up Generator, Air-Conditioning units etc, and also two ambulances.
Lions Cancer Hospital built-up area is 24,000 sq. feet in 1168 sq. yards of VUDA allotted site at Seethammadhara, Visakhapatnam. The hospital has 50 beds. Two Beds are meant for Intensive Care (ICU). There is a separate ward exclusively for Chemotherapy treatment. There are single rooms, twin sharing rooms and separate General Wards for Men & Women. The rooms are spacious, bright with natural daylight and an efficient ventilation system. The hospital has wide corridors and resting places on each floor that permit convalescing patients to sit and relax. A large OPD area provide a compact reception, patient waiting hall and six consulting chambers.
Recently VUDA has allotted another 283 Sq. yards adjacent to the present site for the purpose of providing shelter to the poor and needy cancer patients.
Lions Cancer Hospital treated 12900 patients from April 1996 to September, 2007.
